About our signature waterproof cotton fabric: It's made from extra thin and long staple cotton fibres using a very tight and traditional weaving technique. When dry, the fabric opens its pores to breathe. When wet, the overtightened cotton fibres swell, thereby sealing the weave and making it waterproof.
About the finishing:
The hydrophobic finishing with BIONIC-FINISH® ECO is based on a fluorine-free recipe. Hyperbranched, hydrophobic polymers with ramified structures like in tree tops orientate in an orderly manner on the textile and crystallise on specifically adusted comb polymers. The optimum arrangement of many of these functional elements is highly effective.
