2016 Weisser Burgunder trocken, Qualitätswein
Schweppenhäuser Steyerberg, Limited Edition
The dry Pinot Blanc from the wine-growing region Schweppenhäuser Steyerberg in Rhineland-Palatinate stands out among our other wines not only thanks to its rich flavoured grapes.
The steep slopes of the sunny Steyerberg vineyard make it practically impossible to mechanise wine production. Therefore, many lots in this exceptionally well-positioned area remain uncultivated. We, however, see our Pinot Blanc vineyard as an opportunity to revive old traditions and to preserve the origins of viticulture. This means that our Pinot Blanc is first and foremost manufactured by hand.
In cooperation with the winery Seckler, we aim to use this small vineyard to produce a high-quality Pinot Blanc that is marked by the terroir of this special location. The quality of the wine reflects the hours of manual work devoted to create it. The wine contains our common passion not only for old traditions but also for extraordinary taste.
Freshness, vitality and refined fruit aromas paired with an elegant and long finish, as well as its traditional manufacturing process make this wine a very special treat.
